responsibilities of the board of directors include, but are not limited to:

Function as trustees for members in safeguarding their assets in the cooperative
Determine objectives and general policies
Adopt long-range plans
Employ a competent manager
Preserve the cooperative character of the organization

Require accurate accounts and records
Appoint an outside auditing firm
Control the total operation
Distribute the cooperative’s net income
Approve distribution of equities
