PCA Expands Grain Storage with New Waco, MO Facility

Waco Bunker

GIRARD, KANSAS (August 13, 2026) — Producers Cooperative Association (PCA) is continuing to invest in its grain infrastructure with the acquisition of approximately 15 acres of land in Waco, Missouri, where construction is currently underway on a new grain storage site.

Located on County Road 300 northeast of PCA’s existing Waco grain elevator, the property is being converted into an approximately 500,000-bushel ground pile bunker, with the ability to expand the site to 1 million bushels of storage in the future. Current work at the site includes extensive dirt work and preparation to create the optimized storage area.

The new facility will provide PCA with additional grain storage capacity, allowing the cooperative to handle increased grain volumes during harvest and provide greater flexibility in receiving and managing grain. The storage pile will include a drive-over conveyor system capable of handling approximately 15,000 bushels per hour, providing an efficient method for moving grain during peak harvest.

“This is an important investment in our grain infrastructure and our ability to serve producers,” said Steven Miller, VP of Grain & Grain Operations. “Adding this storage gives us additional flexibility during harvest and helps us continue to provide dependable grain handling and marketing services to the producers who rely on PCA.”

PCA is working to complete the necessary site preparation and construction with the goal of having the new storage area available for use during this year’s corn harvest.

The Waco project is part of PCA’s continued investment in its grain operations and the infrastructure needed to efficiently handle the crops produced by the farmers it serves.

“PCA is committed to meeting the needs of our producers, and this project is a great example of that," said Board Chairman Tom Bradshaw. "Adding this storage space, along with the speed of unloading, will give us the ability to handle more grain efficiently and help keep the combines rolling during harvest. Our goal is to make sure we have the people and facilities in place to serve our producers when they need us most.”

More information about the project and its capabilities will be shared as construction progresses.
